FAQs

FAQ

When is the wedding?

Saturday, January 31, 2026. Gather starting at 3:30 pm for Mixing & Mingling. Ceremony starts at 4:30 pm. Reception to follow.

Where is it?

Miccosukee Land Co-Op Community Center, 9263 Land Co-Op Road, Tallahassee, FL, 32309.

What’s the dress code?

What to Wear: Celtic/Fantasy/Medieval encouraged (cloaks, kilts, corsets, poet blouses, boots). Not a costume person? Wear wedding-nice neutrals in forest tones (greens/ivory/browns/charcoal) and add one accent (shawl, leaf/knot pendant, belt). See our What to Wear page for examples.

Is the event indoors or outdoors?

This a combined indoor/outdoor event. The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors, followed by an indoor feast, then back outside for more revelry under the winter stars.

What will the weather be like?

It'll be cold that time of year, so dress warm! We will have heaters available, plus a bonfire! This is an indoor/outdoor event, so if there's inclement weather, festivities will be moved inside.

What time should I arrive?

Aim for 3:30 pm so that you have plenty of time to find parking and get settled before the ceremony starts.

Is this an invite-only wedding?

Yes. Our wedding is invite-only. Although we wish we could invite all of our wonderful friends, we’ve chosen to keep it intimate. Invitations will be either hand-delivered or mailed. Thanks for understanding!

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

This is an "unplugged" event. We will have an official photographer and videographer, so *please* do not take pictures during the ceremony. Please silence all phones and be fully present.

RSVPs & Plus-Ones

How do I RSVP?

Click "RSVP" on the navigation bar and enter your full name, then you can RSVP for yourself/your party.

Can I bring a plus-one?

When you RSVP on this website, you will see everyone who is invited in your party. If you have a plus-one, it will be noted there. You will also be able to see it on your invitation envelope.

Are kids invited?

We love your little ones, but this will be an adults-only celebration. We appreciate your understanding.

Can I bring my pet?

Please do not bring pets to this event. Service animals are allowed.

Travel, Parking & Accessibility

Which airport is best?

TLH (Tallahassee International) is the closest airport to us. If you're on a budget, flying into Jacksonville may be more affordable, though you'll have to arrange for transport to Tallahassee from there.

I'm traveling from out of town. What hotel should I stay at?

We recommend booking a room at the Red Roof Inn, on 6737 Mahan Dr, Tallahassee, FL 32308. It's only a 12 minute drive from the venue!

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes, there is a free parking area on site. Please observe signs which will direct you to the parking area.

Is this venue accessible?

The MLC Community Center is fully accessible, having both stairs and ramps. The outdoor area may have roots, uneven surfaces, and rocks, so use caution. Boots, block heels, or flats recommended. If you need special accommodation, please let us know!

Food, Drinks & Allergies

What's for dinner?

We will have a delightful selection of tavern style delicacies for you to enjoy during the reception, including turkey legs, beef tips with gravy (or stuffed mushrooms for our vegetarian friends!), roasted root vegetables, in addition to a grazing table for cocktail hour! Please list any dietary needs on your RSVP.

Will there be alcohol?

Yes, there will be an open bar with a delightful selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic enchanted elixirs, for your enjoyment.

Registry

Do you have a registry?

Yes! For generous folks who would like to contribute, we have listed a variety of experiences we would like to have on our honeymoon to Japan! Please go to the "Registry" page of this website to view.

How do I contribute?

Navigate to our Registry on the navigation bar and select the experience you would like to gift us. You can contribute any amount, or pick a specific “experience” on the fund page. If you’d rather not do online gifts, a card on the day or a kind note is perfect too. Thank you for celebrating with us!

What if I prefer to give a physical gift?

That's totally fine too! Simply put, we already have a cozy home, so instead of household items, we’re inviting guests to help us experience Japan by contributing to experiences listed on our Registry. However, we gratefully accept any gifts!
